AESTHETICS
The first thing that bears mentioning is the name. The U-Boat was named for its ergonomic shape which bears a resemblance to a submarine. This Ergonomically shaped, palm-sized pod system is designed with stealth and comfort in mind. Its small stature allows you to vape discretely. Also, its ergonomic shape makes it fit comfortably into the palm of your hand.
This device comes in black with a fine texture to the finish to give it a nice grip as well as style. It also has an LED light on in the front near the bottom. The U-Boat shape is something to talk about. It is sleek and smooth and in the shape of a submarine. The U-Boat does not charge using a micro USB as most e-cigarette setups these days do. THE POD
One thing to point out about the U-Boat Pod system is the great reusable feature of the pod itself. Though you are unable to replace the coils in these pods, they are however reusable. You may refill these 2ml pods numerous times before the need to replace them arises. The pod slides into the top of the U-Boat device. It can easily be pulled out to refill or to be replaced. It has a small plug on the bottom that you can remove to refill the pod when needed. The hole used for filling is very small so you may want to invest in a drip tip bottle or blunt ended syringe to aid in filling.
THE BATTERY
The U-Boat uses a strong little 550mah battery and takes approximately 30 minutes to charge. It’s very important to not over charge your device because overcharging will damage the battery. When charging, the LED indicator light will glow red and will then change to green when it’s fully charged. When the battery is dead and no longer has a charge, the LED indicator light will flash 10 times in succession. This top of the line battery has a short circuit protection. The LED indicator light will flash 3 times in the event of a short circuit. Also, the device won’t allow you to inhale. There is an over vape protection as well. If you vape for longer than 10 seconds, the LED indicator light will flash 3 times. Also, the device will turn off. This ensures the device doesn’t overheat from vaping for too long of a time at once.
IT’S PERFORMANCE
You’ll enjoy a very satisfying mouth-to-lung hit with this pod system. Because the U-Boat uses a 1.5ohm ceramic coil inside the pod, you’ll have a cloud-filled and tasty vaping experience. Its output is 3.7v and this combined with the 1.5ohm coil makes for a satisfying experience all around.
